„Agricultural Consulting Services” project is funded by the Romanian-American Foundation and implemented in partnership with the Romanian Center for European Policies. The project aims to help farmers by developing an agricultural consulting system in Romania.

The main objective of the project is to create an up-to-date and in-depth analysis of agricultural consultancy needs and an intervention model for a private agricultural consultancy initiative.

Through the project, we aim:

• to understand more clearly the current education and information needs of small farmers, the infrastructure they use and the current institutional capacity;
• to create a functional model of agricultural consulting system;
• to design an integrated project for a private model of agricultural consulting system, based on a clear management plan.

We want to achieve our goals by:

• Updating the analysis of the status quo regarding the agricultural consultancy in Romania;
• Conducting a qualitative and quantitative research of the needs of farmers, cooperatives and other important actors in agro-business (questionnaires, telephone or online interviews, focus group and mentoring sessions);
• Evaluation of existing models of agricultural consulting systems in the European Union and the United States of America;
• Creation of a detailed intervention model regarding the methodology and steps for implementing a private model of agricultural consulting system in Romania;
