Integrated social services for the communities of GAL Ţara Năsăudului
Civitas Foundation for Civil Society Cluj with HEKS/EPER Foundation Romania (as project partner) and GAL Țara Năsăudului (as the partnership leader) implement a project called Integrated Social Services for the communities of GAL Țara Năsăudului (Servicii sociale integrate pentru comunitățile din GAL Țara Năsăudului).
Through this project, we aim to promote social integrated measures for 250 people from the communities of GAL Țara Nasăudului, in order to reduce the number of people exposed to the risk of poverty and social exclusion.
How do we do this in the created partnership?
We aim to reduce the number of people exposed to the risk of poverty and social exclusion by:
- Ensuring professional integration, maintaining on the labor market and increasing employment opportunities for a number of 125 people from GAL communities (13 comunities), by implementing personalized measures in accordance with the people’s needs: information, counseling and professional mediation in order to facilitate finding a job, vocational training courses, consultancy for the establishment of a business (10 enterprises), training and mentoring in entrepreneurship, as well as granting de minimis aid for the actual establishment of 10 businesses, in order to facilitate social and professional inclusion.
- Facilitating social integration at of the members of marginalized communities through the services offered by the Day Center in Mocod (Centrul de Zi din Mocod), Nimigea commune, as a central point of social intervention. At least 250 people from the 13 communities will benefit from social services (counseling, socialization and free time activities to help people avoid loneliness and ensure an adequate level of independence, as well as support – kits with hygiene and sanitary materials and other household goods). A mobile team (4 social workers) will be set up to provide services at home, especially for the elderly (125 elderly people out of the 250 people in the target group).
- Increasing the quality of life and social capital for members of marginalized communities through a series of support actions: improvement of living conditions (sanitization of 100 homes), carrying out anti-discrimination activities and promoting multiculturalism in order to increase social inclusion.
The project’s target group includes 250 people (125 young people/adults and 125 elderly) from the territory of GAL Ţara Nasăudului (13 communities) at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
