The Association of Livestock Farmers in the Territory of the Someș-Nadăș Local Action Group

The initiative aims to establish an agricultural cooperative of livestock farmers within the territory of the Someș-Nadăș Local Action Group (located in the northwest of Cluj County) and to support them in finding alternative solutions for marketing their milk production. Currently, their clients are mainly medium-sized local processors and direct consumers through informal arrangements.

Together, the members of the future agricultural cooperative own 2,378 animals, which produce approximately 328,655 liters of milk annually.

The support provided by the Civitas Foundation will focus on the legal establishment of the agricultural cooperative, the development of a business plan and assistance with its implementation, the development of logistics for dairy processing, the creation of the cooperative’s brand, and facilitating access to the necessary infrastructure for product distribution.

The partners involved in this initiative are farmers from the Someș-Nadăș Local Action Group.
