A new project that promotes local values!

Civitas Foundation for Civil Society (Odorheiu Secuiesc Office), in collaboration with SC HELYENVALO SRL, a food hub with a market integration role, and two fruit growers (GERGELY E. LEVENTE P.F.A. and JEDDY TAMAS-SANDOR P.F.A.) are implementing the project “Establishing cooperation with local stakeholders for the development of a short supply chain for local fruit products in Odorhei and through an online shop nationwide”.

The overall objective of the project is to establish cooperation with local stakeholders for the development of a short supply chain for local fruit products in the Odorhei region and through an online shop nationwide. The cooperation relies on local farmers and consumers aware of the benefits of the short supply chain, the importance of healthy eating, and the contribution of their purchases to the development of small local farms.

The main specific objectives of the project are:

  • Establishing a partnership for the development of short supply chain concept.
  • Developing short supply chain marketing services through a webshop.
  • Promoting the short supply chain, products, and services throughout the project.

We will actively promote short supply chains and the extraordinary tastes of products from the local food hub (Helyénvaló) at both regional and national levels. This way, people from other regions can discover the flavors of Szeklerland, and communities and regions will mutually discover each other, enriching everyone’s culture.

The project is funded by non-reimbursable European funds through the National Rural Development Program (PNDR 2014-2020, sub-measure 16.4/a), contract no: C164A000E012172100033/21.02.2023. The National Rural Development Program is implemented by the Agency for Financing Rural Investments, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. PNDR is financed by the European Union and the Government of Romania through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
