The development of agricultural education represents a strategic direction for our foundation. For almost 9 years, we have been actively involved in the field of agricultural education and we support agricultural high schools in Romania, so that they can offer their students a quality education.

We started in 2016 and focused on implementing study visit programs for students in 8 agricultural high schools. Today, we support 4 types of programs: practical training courses, study visits, promotion campaigns and agriculture 4.0.

Our vision

We strongly believe that in order to raise skilled farmers, it is important that agricultural high schools develop a relevant and high-quality educational offer.

Technical skills and knowledge are essential for students in agricultural education, so it is necessary for educational programs in agricultural high schools to be specifically oriented towards their development.

At the same time, in order to generate performance, agricultural high schools must attract students with the most suitable profile, those interested in agriculture and entrepreneurship. Thus, high school students in agriculture will be more motivated to become small and medium farmers.

In the current program, Agricultural high schools prepare tomorrow’s farmers, we work with over 20 high schools. So far, we have awarded 65 grants to agricultural high schools, totaling nearly ,000.

In addition to the grants, we have developed two kits with recommendations and tools for organizing practical training courses and study visits. These resource materials are applicable to all agricultural high schools, whether they apply for grants or decide to implement these activities on their own. We also support teachers in agricultural high schools through online trainings and webinars.

In order for agricultural education to correspond to the vision with which we set out and to have as many qualified young farmers as possible in Romania, we do not stop here! This project will reinvent itself step by step, trying to produce a real improvement in agricultural education, contributing both to the development of students’ skills and to supporting and motivating teachers.
