The Civitas Foundation for Civil Society announces the launch of the online platform CoopNet.ro – www.coopnet.ro – a support ecosystem for the sustainable development and professionalization of agricultural cooperatives and small and medium-sized farmers in Romania. This initiative is part of the project “CoopNet 3.0 – Capacity building for small-farm cooperatives,” implemented with the financial support of the Romanian-American Foundation (RAF).
The platform provides free access to resources for establishing and properly managing a cooperative, up-to-date information on agricultural funding and important events, as well as recommendations for market expansion and sales growth for farmers and cooperatives.
“CoopNet.ro aims to simplify things for small producers and cooperatives. On this platform, there is useful information about the market, training courses, and ideas to better promote your products. Additionally, it is free and open to all farmers who want to grow their businesses,” says Márton Balogh, director of the Civitas Foundation for Civil Society Cluj.
The platform emerged as a result of the CoopNet network’s activity – a network for the development of agriculture in Romania. Joining the network is free and allows farmers and cooperatives to connect with experts in the field and access events, training courses, and practical recommendations from specialists. Moreover, the network represents the interests of its members to the authorities, influencing state decisions in favor of farmers.
“CoopNet is more than just a platform; it is real support for farmers who want to grow together. We wanted small producers to have access to useful information that helps them grow their businesses, but also to connect with key players in the sector to find solutions to the problems they face,” explains Ovidiu Mărginean, manager of the CoopNet network.
The CoopNet.ro platform is now live! Visit the website and discover how it can help you develop your cooperative or farm.
