We’re getting close to the end of our project – Today small NGOs, tomorrow sustainable NGOs! In the final stretch, we are striving to take away as many lessons as possible from the fundraising experiences we’ve shared with the 15 NGOs in the project.
We supported (through mentorship) 15 small NGOs to conceive and implement their own crowdfunding campaigns on Creștem Idei (We Grow Ideas). One of these organizations is Asociația C.A.R.E. – Cetățeni Activi pentru Relații Etice (Active Citizens for Ethical Relationships Association).
C.A.R.E. raised funds to print the brochure Relații bazate pe egalitate și respect, nu pe violență (Relationships based on equality and respect, not violence). It’s a guide with general information and practical advice, easy to implement, aiming to correctly identify toxic behaviors in relationships and sexual harassment. The organization aims to raise awareness about patterns of aggression and teach people how to act when in danger.
We asked C.A.R.E. team to share with us what they’ve learned from their crowdfunding campaign. Below you’ll find 3 brief lessons from Monica Barbovschi, the president of the association. Alongside her colleagues, Monica does great work in the field of gender equality and consent education!
