Establishment of the “Cultură Mare” Grain Producers’ Cooperative in Cătina (Cluj)

The project “Establishment of the Crop Producers’ Cooperative in the Câmpia Transilvaniei LAG” aims to support grain growers in the Câmpia Transilvaniei Local Action Group by creating a legal entity that will grant them access to more resources and help reduce production costs.

Through this project, the goal is to develop and implement a business plan for grain producers, provide assistance for the development and internal functioning of the cooperative, and offer consultancy for securing funding. The headquarters of the “Cultura Mare” cooperative is located in the village of Cătina, in the commune of the same name.

The cooperation of grain producers will allow for joint investments in the technology needed to improve their market offering, in terms of both quantity and quality. In the initial phase, the project will include documentation visits, focus groups, and the collection of relevant data on the food market, standards, and best practices in the food industry, as well as information on competitors or innovative brands. These will help establish internal values, choose the brand name and logo, and create a brand identity manual—elements necessary for the cooperative’s future development.
