A project funded by the EU (Horizon Europe) that supports the systematic development of more effective consultancy for short food supply chains (SFSC) through a pan-European peer-to-peer learning network for SFSC practitioners. COREnet builds upon the work initiated by the H2020 project “SKIN,” from which most of its partners originate. SKIN advocated for a new EU network dedicated to SFSC advisors.
The main task of COREnet is to develop an SFSC advisory and support system based on learning and knowledge-sharing, in line with the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS). This system aims to bridge the gap between research and practice, foster a partnership-based approach among SFSC stakeholders, drive innovation across topics and borders, and support the digital transition in agriculture.
COREnet collaborates with EU4Advice for a shared vision: establishing a strong European network of short food supply chain advisors, fully integrated into national AKIS. This partnership is built on shared resources, expertise, and a commitment to driving meaningful changes in Europe’s food systems.
Civitas Foundation is a member of the consortium.
