Civitas Foundation for Civil Society in Odorheiu Secuiesc, in partnership with Harghita Business Center, has launched the implementation of the project titled “AȘA – Access to Opportunity” (In Romanian: „AȘA – Acces la Șansă”).

The project’s implementation period is 12 months, starting from January 2023, with a total budget of 2,128,240 lei.

The overall objective of the project is to support the improvement of the standard of living and the prosperity of the Romanian population by contributing to enhancing professional competencies and increasing the employment rate of unemployed and inactive individuals in correlation with the labor market needs.

Project Activities

  • We will organize FREE professional cooking and catering training for 95 participants. The duration of the courses is 720 hours, with 480 hours dedicated to practical training.
  • Entrepreneurial Skills courses will be conducted for 10 individuals from the target group. These courses are expected to take place in the counties of Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, and Mureș, depending on the expressed interest.

Graduates of the courses can obtain a professional qualification certificate recognized by the National Qualifications Authority (ANC).

Participants will receive a daily mea, and their travel expenses to the course locations will be reimbursed.

Moreover, depending on attendance, participants may benefit from a subsidy, with a maximum value of 3,600 lei.

  • An important component of the project is the support provided for labor market insertion through Information, Counseling, and Mediation Services established, as needed, in the counties where the project will be implemented. Thus, at least 48 members from the target group will be assisted in finding a suitable job.
