Strengthening the representativeness of the RuralNet network and the advocacy capacity for an inclusive and sustainable National Strategic Plan
The project is built on two dimensions – the organizational development of the RuralNet network and the development of an advocacy campaign for an inclusive National Strategic Plan for young people, that will promote gender equality and the sustainability of the rural environment. The project comes in response to the lack of a relevant actor that could bring together organizations with experience and expertise in rural development at the national level.
The organizational development dimension is necessary for the revitalization and consolidation of the RuralNet network – the only national network of NGOs operating in the Romanian rural areas based on the principles of community development both from quantitative perspective (by attracting new members with relevant activity) and from the sustainability perspective – by offering professional services to its members in the fields of project management/planning and the development of its own economic activities (social businesses).
This dimension’s activities will benefit from the expertise of our partner – Furim Institute, which has developed and successfully tested in Norway a social business planning tool for NGOs.
The advocacy component will include a series of 4 workshops on topics that are relevant to the project’s advocacy campaign. Also, within the partnership we aim to develop 4 policy briefs and deliver information of interest for the Advocacy Campaign to at least three thematic working groups and monitoring committees.
Working together for a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.
The project is implemented by Civitas Foundation for Civil Society Cluj in partnership with Community Mediation and Security Center Foundation, Fundația pentru Dezvoltarea Economiei Sociale and FURIM Institutt and benefits from a 249.987,70e uros grant from Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants Grants 2014 -2021.
