Empowering Agriculture High Schools to absorb NRRP funds

Through this project, we aim to increase the capacity of high schools with a predominantly agricultural profile to submit funding applications and to absorb dedicated funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Additionally, we intend to support them in utilizing approved funds and optimizing project implementation through online and offline training programs.

Simultaneously, during the implementation period of the winning projects, the Romanian Center for European Policies (CRPE) will assist high schools by facilitating communication with monitoring authorities. This will enable high schools to periodically report the challenges they face during implementation. CRPE will collect this input, which will be further discussed in detail during regional online meetings, involving both high schools and regional AFIR (Agency for Rural Investment Financing) representatives. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss the status of project implementation and identify solutions to the challenges identified during the implementation period.

The call for improving the infrastructure of agricultural high schools offers these schools the opportunity to make investments through the integration of three components:

  • New constructions;
  • Interventions in existing buildings through the rehabilitation/renovation of infrastructure, especially to ensure improved energy performance;
  • Provision of materials, furniture, and specific digital equipment for teaching and practical activities for eligible high schools.

We want to help agricultural high schools during the application period, and for this purpose, the Civitas Foundation is organizing a series of online information sessions and FAQ sessions.

You can also reach out to us with questions regarding the projects you are preparing to access PNRR funds. We will try to respond promptly to your questions, involving expert consultants or even decision-makers.

The support provided by the Civitas Foundation and the participation in all events organized by us is free. As part of the ”Growing through Agricultural Education” program, we stand by agricultural high schools and will continue to support you both in the application and implementation stages of the projects. This support includes information sessions and advocacy activities designed to make your voice heard among decision-makers.

The program is financially supported by the Romanian-American Foundation.
