Do you live in the countryside and have a business idea that will change the lives of people in your community for the better?

Join the Social Business Academy, the program that raises the next generation of rural social entrepreneurs and offers €61,000 in non-reimbursable funding to 34 social business ideas from 3 regions of Romania: North-West, Centre and North-East.

In the Academy, we will help you set up a business, but only if you do it with caring for people and your community. That means we only fund social businesses. Never heard of this type of business? Read HERE what a social business is and see examples of inspiring social businesses.

What does the program offer?

At the Academy, you can benefit from a free training program for social entrepreneurs and support for starting a social business in rural areas. Here’s what the program offers:

Accredited course and workshops. You will participate in an accredited course on Social Economy Entrepreneurship and workshops that will prepare you to become a social entrepreneur.
Business plan competition. After completing the course, you can enter your social business idea in a funding competition.
€61,000 non-refundable grant to launch your social business. At the end of the competition, 34 social business ideas will receive funding of €61,000 each for implementation.
Support for a year and a half after launching your business. Program experts will help you set up your business and will support you for a year and a half. They will assist you with purchases, executing the investment budget according to the business plan, and filling job positions.
