We grow through agricultural education program reinvents itself from one phase to another, pursuing a more personalized approach to the needs of agricultural education in Romania. From 2024 we start a new phase, with new objectives and activities through which we aim to support future farmers, but also the teachers who guide them on their path.
Now, in phase 4, for the next 3 years, we have the following outcomes:
- Agricultural high school students have relevant technical skills and knowledge and are more motivated to become farmers
By offering the students the opportunity to experience their future career as agriculture professionals, we create premise of increasing the number of small farmers but also the number of agriculture professionals with superior studies, able to use the newest technologies and scientific information for the better use of the resources available, in order to conserve as well the environment.
- Agricultural high schools to interact better with the business sector.
The first outcome is directly linked to the relationship between the agriculture High Schools and the agribusiness. In this program we will focus more on supporting the HS to develop more complex relationships with the business stakeholders in their area.
- Agricultural high schools implement better work-based learning for students (practicum and study visits)
Promoting and spreading awareness regarding good work-based learning activities is another outcome that is crucial for the agriculture education system. Creating contexts in which the HS and the agribusinesses to collaborate in order to complement their needs, will create the premise of a good transition to the dual education system target by the new education law.
- To develop a community of teachers from agriculture High Schools aiming to share good practices
Aiming to create a more sustainable model of intervention, in this phase of the program we also aim to develop a community of teachers from the agriHS that will communicate better, will exchange good practices and will become a commune voice of the agriculture education.
